Intensive exploration of the Arctic has led to development of science and industry. However, it has also left another legacy – hundreds of tons of garbage. If we do not start cleaning up the waste, it will remain here for centuries. The authors of the film met employees and volunteers of the Clean Arctic Foundation and saw them work on the Kola Peninsula, near the Kola Superdeep Borehole and Heiss Island of the Franz Josef Land archipelago. Volunteers who come from all over the country admitted that for many, such environmental expeditions have become a kind of test of character, but they want to return because of the importance of the work they do and the beauty of the Russian North.
